Handling heart attack emergency during times of Coronavirus pandemic , by Dr Gaurav Minocha

A heart attack is an emergency condition that requires immediate hospital care. But is it safe to visit the hospital in times of coronavirus pandemic?

Dr. Gaurav Minocha, Associate director - Cardiology at Max Hospital, Vaishali tells that " If a person shows symptoms of heart attack then hospital visit is mandatory.

He says that " We have new protocols in the hospital care that makes it safe for patients. So if any person is seen to be suffering from symptoms like severe chest pain, ghabrahat ( restlessness), etc then he or she should immediately be brought to hospital without any fear. "

He tells that "The most common symptom of heart attack is chest pain, which is concentrated in the center portion of the chest and the pain may radiate to jaws, neck, arms. The patient may feel severe pain with sweating along with the sensation of vomiting, dizziness or restlessness ( ghabrahat)
